Baseball & Faith - Hall of Fame

I love baseball. I was reading about how the Baseball Hall of Fame denied great players like Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa & Roger Clemens after the allegations that some of them may have used steroids. The Cooperstown vote is a pretty bold statement that the steroid era will be held to a higher standard.

There’s an interesting parallel to our faith. We can have so much success over the course of our life, but a few of our poor decisions separate us from God. Our salvation doesn’t come from good works, it comes from God’s radical grace. It's actually encouraging to see how God gives us a second chance after our failures.

So that’s why I’m so thankful that Jesus came as the atonement for my sin. He’s changed the entire game!
