If you live in an area with state income tax, look for the Free File vendors locally who offer tax assistance. There's also  IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for Elderly Americans to e-file tax return for free. Goodwill has a volunteer tax assistance in some areas and some states offer tax preparation services for low-income filers too.
