ONE Thing To Align Your Goals And Keep Them Alive

ONE Thing To Align Your Goals And Keep Them Alive | scott herrold blog | SOS Radio

We all have so many things that we want to change about ourselves. Frankly it’s overwhelming. I’ve found there is ONE thing that I can do that aligns most of the things I want to change about myself. Make God’s Word my moral & spiritual foundation. By making that one adjustment to my life, it pulls most of my goals, my desires and my problems in line.

The Bible makes it clear, God intends to build something big around his son. God is building something around THE living stone –his son Jesus. Jesus IS grace, peace & love. The Church is a community built around people, but it ties us together through Jesus and the hope he brought into our world

The Bible is not a mere collection of codes, principles moral concepts & disciplines. It's the story of Jesus. If you’re looking for love or grace or peace - it's in him. Jesus IS what brings us together and holds us together. His Word is the Bible, it’s the primary way he communicates with us.

St Paul says , “ For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

Make God’s Word the foundation that you stand on. Make it the lens you look at your job through. Make it the lens you use for your education, your parenting plan and your marriage plan. When you make God’s Word your foundation, it will naturally pull your priorities and goals together in a tangible way.

I think you’ll see the Holy spirit work in new ways when you shift your foundation too.
