A Powerful Ministry to Help Former Inmates

Inmate picture

On the morning show recently we talked about Operation Hope for Prisoners. It's an organization in Las Vegas that helps former inmates get back into the working world. They teach job skills, interviewing, they do counseling and job placement too! The program is all about restoring the dignity of former inmates, respecting their gifts and talents and empowering them to rebuild their lives.

Last week Operation H.O.P.E. graduated 16 amazing men and 5 amazing women into the next level of their life. The vision is to reach, reconcile, raise and release. This program is transforming families!

There is a HUGE a demand for this program right now in Nevada, so Operation Hope for Prisoners is looking for more mentors to work with former inmates!  If you'd like to volunteer, click here!

You can read more about the organization or get involved at www.operationhopeinc.com

*The first of a six part mentor training is Saturday 10/27/11. (9am-1pm) You can sign up at www.mentorregistration.operationhopeinc.com

Thanks SOS for sharing what

Thanks SOS for sharing what great things God is doing in our community. This prisoner reentry initiative was possible because of the participation of the local churches and leaders of our community who have a heart for encouraging and mending the broken and hurting of our society. We need the business community to join on board with Operation H.O.P.E. for prisoner who will give the ex-felons an opportunity to prove themselves. There are many incentives available for employers who hire these individuals in this amazing HOPE for prisoners program.
