SANCTUS REAL-ON FIRE
"Peace isn't the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ." - Sheila Walsh
I’m Scott@SosRadio.net and I've been wondering… "How do you experience peace without it becoming an emotion?" Email me if you have some thoughts!
In Paul’s’ Letter to the Philippian church, he described a "peace that passes all human understanding."
He wrote: “The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
When you dig into the context of that promise a few lines before in Philippians 4:6, you find part of the key: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (NIV)
The peace of God is assured to guard us when we pray "with thanksgiving about everything." That's when God's peace transcends our finite ability to understand it.
