Look Forward To Something! | scott herrolds blog | SOS Radio

As I was driving into work this morning, I was listening to the words in the songs we play on SOS Radio. I was hearing songs about faith, trust, love, grace and changed lives. There was just this theme of "encouragement" in the air.

God is in the life change business. Jesus said, "If you really knew me, you would know my father as well….. from now on you DO know him and have seen him. Anyone who has seen me has seen the father. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these."

If you don’t look forward to anything in your life, you’re probably letting the past have too much control.

Prayer: Am I doing this right? | | SOS Radio

Have you ever been asked to pray for somebody out loud, in front of people? Kinda puts a little pressure on, doesn't it? It's easy to want to sound spiritual, reverent, and articulate. Not just for God, but for the people that are listening.

I'll admit that there have been times when I'm in a group, and we're all taking turns praying out loud. When my turn is next, I'm not sure that I'm even really listening to what the person next to me is saying. I'm thinking about what I'm going to say. Don't want to do it wrong, you know. I have some friends that outright refuse to pray out loud. They are embarrased.

Help Me Overcome My Unbelief!

There’s a story in the Bible about a father who is worried about his son. (Mark 9:14-29) His son had been sick since he was a young boy. Turns out that the son had an evil spirit possessing him. The father knows that his boy needs help but he hasn’t found anyone who can do anything to cure him. That is, until Jesus. The father said to Jesus, “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”  “If you can?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

This Video Will Change Your View Of Sunscreen! | Sunscreen | SOS Radio

We go outside and we think,

"I don't really need sunscreen."

"I want to tan!"

"I'm young, it's OK!"

"I don't burn easily. The sun won't really damage anything."

This video is fascinating about how our skin looks under UV light. Then it shows how our skin looks with sunscreen on part of our face. Whoa!
