BEAUTIFUL BY DAN BREMNES
My wife wrote a GREAT blog about familiar pop music in church.
I got my 11 year old a phone for her birthday. I know, 11! Crazy. Except that I forgot to pick her up one time from an after school thing, and when I forgot again last week, thankfully she just called me to come get her. I found this on Pinterest and thought it was a great thing to go over with her.
1. Rest. No matter how busy things get, make sure to set aside time to rest.
2. Makes sure to prioritize what you "have" to do. There is only so many hours in a day. Make a list and put the important things to be done at the top of the list.
3. Make sure Love Others is at the top of that important to do list.
Dave from Sidewalk Prophets talks about perspective behind music reflected toward God and how songs can get ahead of culture rather than follow culture.
Here's a guest blog from Chef Phillip Dell:
Galatians 5:22 says “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
We all need to let God have control of our lives and let His Spirit manifest these fruit in us. Each of the fruit has a purpose and a blessing for us and for those around us, but I want to take a minute and focus on a few that are especially helpful as you seek to transform your life.

Three things that encouraged me today...
This week I've been thinking a lot about agendas. Maybe it was Columbus Day, maybe it was the Iran nuclear talks in the news or all the politicians on TV arguing about our national debt. I just see agendas everywhere shifting our culture in ways that make me uncomfortable. I even see Christians tearing down other churches in our city. I point it out because passions can easily turn into agendas. Sometimes we don't even realize it, but we are hurting people as we push our agendas.
