When you were growing up… What was your dream job? I was 12 when I knew what my dream job was. Twenty years later I’m still living that dream. If you find yourself in a job situation that doesn’t bring you joy, I would encourage you to seek out your dream job. Life is too short to be doing something that makes you miserable. Dan Miller wrote a book a couple years ago that might help you out. This book may give you some fresh insight to what you really want to do. Dan Miller has been on Dave Ramsey’s show several times and I really like what he has to say about chasing a job that you are passionate about.

We all have so many things that we want to change about ourselves. Frankly it’s overwhelming. I’ve found there is ONE thing that I can do that aligns most of the things I want to change about myself. Make God’s Word my moral & spiritual foundation. By making that one adjustment to my life, it pulls most of my goals, my desires and my problems in line.
Last week at Passion Conference I heard Francis Chan talk about how the older he grows, the less he trusts people. The more he’s reminded about the evil in the world. But he said, "The longer I walk with God, the more I trust the words in the Bible. They are life changing.

My wife has been SO diligent this (and every) Christmas, trying to make sure each of our three boys (ages 7, 5, and 2) feel equally loved this year. In other words: making sure there is parity under the tree.
Ensuring this equality often involves money. But not always. We're trying hard to teach our kids their gifts are a celebration of God's ultimate gift. After all...you know how it is...even the BEST, most expensive gift you find at the store will in all likelihood be something most children get bored with before Christmas week is done.
