BUILDING 429-LISTEN TO THE SOUND
James Mead of Kutless shares thoughts on how God has transformed Kutless from a band into a life changing ministry.
Everyone has a story. Matthew West talks about what we can learn about ourselves by listening & encouraging the stories of others! Matthew also talks about writing a song about Matt Maher for fun!
Matt Maher talks about the state of culture, he talks about the Grammys & the civic religion that seems to be brewing behind culture. He talks about what accolades & rewards mean to a person of faith. This is deep & thought provoking!
We talked about the Secret Life of the Concierge. It was an article in Las Vegas Weekly talking about all the things that go into that line of work. We had a discussion about the secrets behind all of our jobs that most people don't realize! Click here for the audio!
As I watched the State of the Union this week, I just felt the tension behind how deeply our political parties are divided. It's a real challenge because Christians easily get sucked right into the politics. We all have social issues we’re passionate about. We have values, personal styles & ethnic backgrounds. We have work related fears that shape our views on education, government regulation, truth & money. As Christians, it's so easy to let these variables shape our world view even more deeply than our relationship with God.
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up in this new Mercy Me music video! Haha #MMshake
Natalie Grant walked out of the Grammy's the other night. Read more here.
I slacked. I promised to post these types of lists once a week, but I slacked. I'm sorry. Maybe this is the week I get back on track!
If you're a collector of great quotes and Bible verses for your Facebook page or whatever, here are a few of MY faves from the past week:
"Be still...wait for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper, or fret about their wicked schemes." - Psalms 37:7
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" - Hebrews 13:6
Automatic faucets that don't turn on for me are why I feel invisible. - Mike Couchman
You don't need to change your circumstances; you need to retrain your eyes to see the good things God has already given you. - Jud Wilhite
