I got my 11 year old a phone for her birthday. I know, 11! Crazy. Except that I forgot to pick her up one time from an after school thing, and when I forgot again last week, thankfully she just called me to come get her. I found this on Pinterest and thought it was a great thing to go over with her.

Get a couple different sprinklers from the hardware store and make your own splash pad in the yard! My kids love it.
