I got my 11 year old a phone for her birthday. I know, 11! Crazy. Except that I forgot to pick her up one time from an after school thing, and when I forgot again last week, thankfully she just called me to come get her. I found this on Pinterest and thought it was a great thing to go over with her.
On the show tonight, I'll be reading bits and pieces of this blog. Do you ever have these thoughts run through your head? (I do)
Jim Elliot said, “Wherever you are, be all there.” I’m having a hard time being really present anywhere lately if I’m honest. Tim Challies wrote an amazing article in Leadership Journal called “Here and There”, in talking about technology he says he see’s two challenges to presence, to being there in a digital world. ”First, our technologies try to convince me that I can be there even when I remain here, that my presence can be transported through bits, bytes, and pixels, that the essence of who I am can exist on a screen.” Second, the digital world, with all its attractions and distractions, hinders me from being fully here, fully present in life’s best times and places.”
Get a couple different sprinklers from the hardware store and make your own splash pad in the yard! My kids love it.

My kids are 10, 7, 4 and 18months. We started this 25 day devotioal yesterday and have already had such great age-appropriate talks with them! It's also fun singing these songs together and learning the meaning behind them. Check it out!

In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”
Ephesians 6:18 (The Message)
This article challenged me so much about praying for my husband. It's hard to know how sometimes.
