FRANCESCA BATTISTELLI-WRITE YOUR STORY
Every day I put together a prep sheet before I go on the air. This past Monday was a very difficult day to be on the air. God directed me to some pretty encouraging stuff that helped me process what had happened.
Don’t panic. I’m with you.
Scott made me laugh with his "25 Random Things About The Morning Show". So I though I'd give it a shot.
25 Random Things About J.D.
1. I don't like milk in my cereal.
While watching this video, John 15:13 kept coming to mind... "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."
I made the trip to Oregon this past weekend to take my little sister to her first Ducks football game. We had a blast even though it was 46 and pouring. About half way through the 3rd quarter a young man decided he want to try and start the wave in the stadium.
One person out of 60,000… the odds aren’t in his favor. I watched him for about 45 minutes try to pump up the crowd, but each time the wave would die about two sections over. He was determined. After trying 25 times and failing each time… He tried again, with the same enthusiasm as the 1st try.
November is National Adoption Month... This month I'd like to share several different camera angles on Adoption and Foster Care. A good friend to our family is serving on the front lines when it comes to Foster Care and Adoption in Las Vegas. RoseAnna shared this blog post and I love how it ties all of us to adoption... because we have a personal relationship with God.
Foster Care and Adoption have played a huge roll in building my family. My wife Vanessa and I have adopted 4 kids and are currently Foster Parents to 3 kids. November is National Adoption Month and I wanted to share some information if you're interested in pursuing Foster Care or Adoption.
"Don't wanna forget or take for granted... That it's a beautiful life we live"
That’s the first lyric I heard after our newborn decided to pee on me while changing his diaper. I was SOOOOOOOO frustrated. I was in the beginning stages of planning my pity party when I heard "Don't wanna forget or take for granted... That it's a beautiful life we live".
All of a sudden I went from frustration to being thankful.
Yes, I had just been peed on my a two week old little boy… But I was able to hold that little boy and love on him.
Halloween is right around the corner… I think I have gone through all the phases of Halloween in my Christian walk. I’ve ignored it, only participated in church events and have turned out the porch light early so I could still take some of the good candy for myself.
I am always game for a challenge… that’s where Pastor Jim Crews of Valley Bible Fellowship in Las Vegas comes in. Who knew that Halloween just might be the best day of the year to connect with our neighbors and show them love… ß Did I really just say that out loud? You’ll understand how I came to that conclusion after checking out what Pastor Jim had to say about Halloween…
1. Rest. No matter how busy things get, make sure to set aside time to rest.
2. Makes sure to prioritize what you "have" to do. There is only so many hours in a day. Make a list and put the important things to be done at the top of the list.
3. Make sure Love Others is at the top of that important to do list.
