TRUST IN YOU BY LAUREN DAIGLE
I love this speech. If you see my family, you'll notice I don't look a thing like my kids. We have Black, White, Hispanic and a little of this and a little of that. Racism is something we have had to face. I am sure that it is nothing compared to the generations before us, but unfortunately it still takes place today. The sentence below has become my prayer.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." - MLK
Not just for Black, White or Hispanic children............. but for All Children!
How cool is this? During the Broncos vs. Patriots game, Focus on the Family paid to have this commercial aired.
This video has gone viral over the last 24 hours. It's posted every where... Facebook, Twitter and blogs. I've watched it several times and I'm still unpacking it. It's a poem about why Jesus is better than religion. This video comes with a warning, I've watched it at least ten times, and I'm still trying to sort out what it means to me.
Every year the Springs Preserve recycles Christmas trees. Since my kids are on a recycling kick... I decided to earn brownie points with them. If you live in the Las Vegas area, you can drop your tree of at one of the sites below until the 15th. From more details click here

Yesterday I heard "God's Not Dead" the latest single from the Newsboys. I couldn't believe what I heard. All of a sudden I was back in the 90's listening to DC Talk. The video below explains what I mean ...........
I've watched this video several times, it's done two things for me..... 1. Made me very grateful for the blessings and people that God has placed in my life....2. Made me take a look at the "problems" in my life and realize how small they are in the grand scheme of things. Grab a couple tissues check out this video from Ben Breedlove....
Call them resolutions, call them goals... If I don't make a list of things I want to accomplish, I find myself looking back and not really doing much with the new year. Here's my 2012 list.
1. Spend more time with Vanessa. With 6 kids time is really a valuable commodity. This year I want to manage my time so that I'm spending more quality time with my wife.
2. Read. This is on my list every year, but it seems to fall to the wayside come spring. This year, reading 14 books in my goal.
3. Starting a college fund for the kids....... I need to start now if I'm gonning to send 6 kids to college!
4. Make healthy choices when it comes to eating.
