TIM TIMMONS-STARTS WITH ME
If you're wondering who I'm rooting for in the NBA Finals, click here! Did I mention I used to like in Oklahoma?
Sanctus Real's bus caught on fire earlier this week.
Everyone is safe & well, but the band members lost most of their personal items.
Many of you have been asking how you can help the guys from Sanctus Real. You can do that by clicking here!
When was the last time you thought about how sin affects your personal worldview? I've been reading a book by Craig Groeschel called: Soul Detox. It's been challenging me to think about the things I watch on TV and at the movies. It's challenging me to think about how to train my kids to have a Christian worldview.
Oswold Chambers said: "Sin is more than moral irregularity. It is a disposition to follow one's own way rather than God's way."
I'd love to hear your take on it.
God is working in your life even when you don't feel it!
Like Paul Says in Galatians- "Let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the RIGHT TIME we will reap a harvest of blessing... if we don't give up!"
There’s a whole lot more than feelings at work here! It's the life changing power of Jesus Christ. He rose from the dead & that's the same power that can change your life.
"As a believer, you have the mind of Christ. But that doesn’t mean every thought comes from God. You do realize, don’t you, that along with the Shepherd, the butcher too talks to the sheep. The Shepherd’s voice is easy, reassuring, lifting up of the spirit. The butcher speaks harshly, condemning, death serving as the undertone of everything said. Conniving as he is, the enemy makes his voice sound like your own. He wants you to believe as such. Why? Because thoughts and beliefs become feelings, and feelings cause you to act. Pretty soon, your daily living reflects more of his character than your own. But you don’t realize it. The enemy’s lies are that smooth. One of the aspects of abiding in Christ is simply to judge your thoughts. Those that drive, agitate, and cause worry, you stand firm against and discard. Those that encourage, lift-up, and bring you to rest, you embrace and receive. Only the Shepherd’s thoughts belong in your life."
– David Stephens from Belief Changers.
Everyone told Marc Martel from Downhere that he sounded like Freddie Mercury from Queen. When the remaining members of Queen decided to do a new world tour, they held a competition for a new vocalist. Fans encouraged Marc to try out, and he thought, "Well, let's see if the members of Queen think I sound like Freddie!"
He WON the competition. It worked out because a couple of band members in Downhere were having babies this year, so they were already planning to take some time off. He's not leaving the band.
