O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL BY BRITT NICOLE
Hundreds of local residents are joining forces to fight lung cancer, united in the belief that surviving lung cancer should be the expectation, not the exception. These everyday superheroes will be meeting at the Las Vegas Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Walk on Saturday, May 20 at Sunset Park – Area F (2601 E Sunset Road, Las Vegas, NV 89120). All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicating to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. This year’s event will feature a 5K Fun Run, 5K Walk, and 1-mile Walk. The day will also include opening and closing rallies and fun for the whole family including kids’ coloring activities. Special recognition will be given to top fundraising heroes.

Fighting with our kids happens, but what are we fighting really? The enemy would love nothing more than for our anger and frustration to be focused on our child and not on him and his schemes, but the Bible tells us differently. So when our children sin, our fight is not against them, but against the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Join us as we turn fathers hearts toward their children and explore how to fight FOR our children in the heavenly realms so our relationship wins and the enemy loses.
