Relay for Life is a community gathering where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people attend the event held at Foothill High School track and take turns walking the track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event - because cancer never sleeps!
There are venders, activities for the whole family, live entertainment & lots of fundraising at the event! Lots of free stuff for registered survivors & caregivers too. Click on the link to see more about starting your own team, donating to relay, or registering independently as a survivor or caregiver. All are welcome.

Church takes Ash Wednesday to the Streets
On Ash Wednesday, February 18th, Ascension Episcopal Church will be offering “Ashes to Go,” a new approach to a centuries-old Christian tradition, at the corner of Shoshone and Main from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
Ascension Church is part of a new nationwide movement that has clergy and lay people visiting transit stops, street corners, coffee shops, and college campuses to mark the foreheads of interested passers-by with ashes and invite them to repent of past wrongdoing and seek forgiveness and renewal.
