The American Board, a non-profit dedicated to recruiting and certifying teachers in Idaho, will host a public event on how local residents can become certified Idaho teachers.

The event will be held at 6:30 pm and again at 7:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Express- Meeting Room, 1554 Fillmore in Twin Falls and will be led by Idaho Teacher Certification Specialist Michael Burke.

Attendees will learn what to expect in a career as a teacher and receive advisement on a personalized path to certification.

At FWCC we are sponsoring the World Harvest Tour featuring Xtreme Passion Youth Ministry @ 3945 E. Patrick Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89120. This event is Free and open to all. Doors will open at 6:00pm. Our One Love Youth Group will be providing free pizza and drinks/candy may be purchased for a small donation.

FOOD, FOOD, FOOD!!!! There are no criteria to follow when you choose to provide food. Whatever the Lord leads you to cook is a blessing to the Lord, and to the needy! (Some examples of the food that is provided includes any kind of meat items, fruit, pastas, rice, salads, soups, meat and sandwiches, sack lunches is great too and bottle waters). The event will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm and again at 7:30 pm at Hilton Garden Inn – Snake River South Room, 1741 Harrison St. in Twin Falls and will be led by Idaho Teacher Certification Specialist Michael Burke.
The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required for entry.

“Anyone with a bachelor’s degree can become a full-time teacher within a year as long as they plan the right path.” Burke said. “We are searching for people who have real-life experience and want to apply that experience in the classroom.”

Earth Day at the MRF

The third annual "Earth Day at the MRF" features conservation ideas, vendors, and activities. The FREE event will be held at the MRF (Material Recovery Facility) at 17000 Abbey Lane, just off Stoddard Wells Road, in Victorville. Highlighted activities include E-waste and appliance recycling, "Shred-Fest" document shredding, mulch giveaway, and tire drop-off (for Apple Valley and Victorville residents only). There will also be children's activities and representatives from many local conservation agencies. See attached flyer for details.
