The 11th Annual Charity Golf Classic will provide hot meals for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, clothing, and basic needs for the less fortunate in our community.

This event is an annual fund raiser to help raise funds for women’s recovery care. Most women have little if any funds for their recovery services and great efforts are made to raise funds for their care in this long term faith based program. The program is not federal or state funded and is not funded by insurance companies. Fund raisers throughout the year provide the finances to hire staff to provide services that will enable them to live free from drugs and alcohol. Housing, counseling, communication skills, vocational training and full time accountability are provided while they learn life skills to lead successful lives in the future.

Grapevine Fellowship Food Bank will be holding its 3rd Annual “Feed the People” Fundraiser/Street Fair on April 11, 2015 from 11am – 7pm at 2323 S. Nellis Blvd. This family friendly event will feature 8 bands, food, door prizes, fun for the kids and a 50/50 raffle. Last year the food bank distributed 1 million pounds of food to over 67,000 people and this only happens with the support of our community. Inspired by a father who lived the adoption miracle through his daughter's adoption journey, the Love Has Come Auction & Food Fest is a time of food, fun, and fundraising on behalf of adoptive families. Join us for an evening that will include a chili feed & cook off, dessert auction, raffles, games, live & silent auctions, & other cool ways to reach out to the fatherless and bring hope as we rally around adoptive families trying to change the world - one child at a time.

Adoption can cost up to $30,000 so this night is all about off-setting adoption costs for qualified families through Love Has Come's grant program, the Forever Family Fund.

The Valley Christian High School Fine Arts Department is hosting their annual Dessert Show, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 7:00PM in the VCS Gymnasium. This year’s theme, "Daddy-O's Diner", will feature far-out instrumental and vocal music from the 1950's, performed by the hip Valley Christian School band and choir. High School art work will also be displayed at this cool bash and homemade desserts and coffee will be there for the taking. Tickets are $5.00 each or $20 per family and may be purchased at the Valley Christian School Office or at the door. Call 549-0482 for more information!

As many of you know, the Thrift Store we opened and operated for over two years provided a very significant outreach for our ministry that augmented our overall efforts in very important areas: Through the Thrift Store, we not only increased awareness of the Homeless Community that we primarily serve, but we also increased visibility to potential volunteers and donors. These increases give us solid affirmation to continue down this path!

In many ways we'd have to say we under-estimated God's blessings in the first Henderson store which led to some challenges that we've had to overcome (poor location, and it was too small for the amount of items we were receiving which required storage we've had to pay for - not ideal).
