A NIGHT OF HOPE AND RECOGNITION OF OUR VETERANS at Christian Life Center in Layton, 2352 East Highway 193. The VIP Meet & Greet will be at 5:30pm. $30 per person/$40 per couple (includes 1 signed book). Main Event at 6:30pm with FREE admission. The Seniors & Masters 5K Money run is sponsored by Vegas Running Connection (501 c-3) and designed to promote health and cardiovascular fitness for Senior Citizens and Masters 40+ age runners that normally would not qualify for prize money.

The 5K course at Kellogg-Zaher Park begins on the far southwest side (top of the large paved oval, next to the tennis center). It circles the 11 soccer fields to the east, makes one complete loop, plus another 3/4 loop. Finish line and registration is alongside the elevated grass park.

This fundraiser will be held at Applebee's in Victorville on April 11th, 8:00-10:00 a.m. The finances raised will go toward reaching boys and girls for Christ in the high desert. Child Evangelism Fellowship of the High Desert has 19 Good News Clubs. A Good News Club is held in a public school once a week for one and half hours. The children sing songs, learn a memory verse, a Bible lessons is taught and applied to the lives of the children. An invitation to receive Jesus as their Lord is given every week. A missionary story about real missionaries are taught. A review game is played after the Bible lesson to see if the children understood what was taught. Good News Clubs are free. Every year CEF High Desert has 1,000 children enrolled in Good News Clubs.

This event is an annual fund raiser to help raise funds for women’s recovery care. Most women have little if any funds for their recovery services and great efforts are made to raise funds for their care in this long term faith based program. The program is not federal or state funded and is not funded by insurance companies. Fund raisers throughout the year provide the finances to hire staff to provide services that will enable them to live free from drugs and alcohol. Housing, counseling, communication skills, vocational training and full time accountability are provided while they learn life skills to lead successful lives in the future.

Grapevine Fellowship Food Bank will be holding its 3rd Annual “Feed the People” Fundraiser/Street Fair on April 11, 2015 from 11am – 7pm at 2323 S. Nellis Blvd. This family friendly event will feature 8 bands, food, door prizes, fun for the kids and a 50/50 raffle. Last year the food bank distributed 1 million pounds of food to over 67,000 people and this only happens with the support of our community. Inspired by a father who lived the adoption miracle through his daughter's adoption journey, the Love Has Come Auction & Food Fest is a time of food, fun, and fundraising on behalf of adoptive families. Join us for an evening that will include a chili feed & cook off, dessert auction, raffles, games, live & silent auctions, & other cool ways to reach out to the fatherless and bring hope as we rally around adoptive families trying to change the world - one child at a time.

Adoption can cost up to $30,000 so this night is all about off-setting adoption costs for qualified families through Love Has Come's grant program, the Forever Family Fund.
