This is the 2nd Annual Diaper Drive to raise diapers for Single Moms in need. We will be collecting diapers sizes Newborn through size 6 the whole month of May and will be distributing them out the first week in June. We thought everyone knew about traumatic brain injury/depression but unfortunately we had to learn about this through a family member, friend, associate and even ourself. Please attend/walk at our Walk 4 Awareness of TBI/Depression walk on 08/23/2014 11:30am at Sunset Park in Las Vegas, NV and we are going to have a face painter, water, soda, karaoke, church worship team, Christian music and snacks. A night of culinary tastes from top Las Vegas restaurants, beautiful and heart-warming children’s art, great silent and live auction prizes, and good friends gathering for a good cause is planned to help children with cancer. An Evening of Hope will be Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the World Market Center, located at 495 S. Grand Central Pkwy, Ste. #2203.
The epicurean-style experience and cocktail reception fundraiser will raise money for the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. The nonprofit provides support, education, hope and advocacy through programs and services for children and adolescents with cancer and their families in Southern Nevada.
Our church has been struggling financially the past months and we are having this fund raiser to help us pay for some of our expenses. We will be having a variety pf games for all ages along with authentic and delicious Mexican dishes. There is no admission fee and all will happen in a clean and family orientated environment. The Refuge Youth Ministry will hold a car wash fundraiser at Winegar's Grocery Store in Clearfield, located at 1080 W. 300 N., to raise money for World Vision's 30 Hour Famine Project. So far, the youth have raised more than $2,000 by fasting for 30 hours on Apr 24-25. The youth group seeks to raise another $2,000 through the car wash. Their total goal is $4,250.
THE PREGNANCY CARE CENTER OF OGDEN'S WALK FOR LIFE is Saturday May 10 at George Wahlen Park in Roy, and at Layton Commons Park in Layton. Registration is at 8:30am, the Walk begins at 9. Join us for an elegant afternoon high tea filled with entertainment, a silent auction and raffle. Kimberly Malloy, will be hosting our event this year and will be offering an encouraging word based on our theme Gems and Jewels.
This fundraiser will benefit Club Christ Ministries, a non-profit organization whose vision is to empower urban youth to transform their communities for Christ.
CCM serves at-risk youth through two centers, one in Henderson and one in Las Vegas. They focus on tutoring, mentoring, Bible study, field trips and service projects with the students.
