A.J. MICHALKA-ALL I'VE EVER NEEDED
We are getting together in the town of Pahrump to stand up for our youth. The town of Pahrump is solely a retirement geared town . There is nothing here for the kid's to do , except go to a local skateboard park out here it is called the Ian Deutch skateboard park . The kid's are forced to skate in the heat of the day because the finances for the town is to great. We are not depending on man , but we are in need of prayer that God will bring the provisions to these kid's. Please be in agreement . There is a town Parade called The Harvest Fall Parade were the kid's and I will be marching and asking the public to donate to the cause in getting them lights so they can skate at night and be cool.

Pulling the sweeter strings of philanthropy comes this year’s Dessert Before Dinner Gala, benefiting Girls Scouts of Southern Nevada. A highlight of the event is the dessert competition, where noted local chefs create new and unique sweet treats from this year’s chosen Girl Scout cookie. Event attendees vote for and select the winning dessert. In addition to the competition, seven outstanding women leaders will be honored for making a real difference in our community and paving the way for today’s girls to become tomorrow’s great leaders. The 2014 honorees are: Heather Allen M.D., Thalia Dondero, Alexandra Epstein, Phyllis A. James, Joyce Sherman Nelson, Sandy Colon Peltyn, and Camille Ruvo. This year’s featured entertainer is Mirage headliner and comedian Terry Fator.

From coast-to-coast and around the globe, mental illness affects everyone. Each year mental illness impacts the lives of at least one in four adults and one in ten children in the United States. NAMI of Southern Nevada and its dedicated volunteers work together to raise awareness about mental illness. We provide essential education, advocacy, and support group programs for individuals in our community living with mental illness and their loved ones.
All “Walkers” are welcome! All donations gratefully accepted.
