Nevadaween combines the fun of Halloween and celebrates the Birthday of Nevada! Family fun activities start at 9:00am with Pumpkin painting, and the Children’s Costume Contest at 10am, Soup Cook-off at 11am, and MORE! Las Vegas Crafter Guild will be there with handmade items for sale. Las Vegas Metro Trunk-n-Treat, McGruff, Pumpkin Bowling, Haunted House,Raffle Prizes and Birthday Cake. Forever Resorts, in cooperation with the National Park Service, the Nevada Department of Wildlife and the area SCUBA diving community, will host its annual Eco-Dive and Environmental Clean-up Day at Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina. It’s a chance for eco-conscious individuals to come out and help clean up the marina, the dock and surrounding beach areas with others who share their passion for preserving the beauty of our National Park lands. In recent years, many private boaters have joined the clean-up, using their own boats to collect trash from coves around the lake.
More than 9,900 pounds of debris were collected last year at Cottonwood Cove—that’s nearly 5 tons of trash.
