“Pitch-In” with the Las Vegas 51’s to Feed Those In Need
When: Game day, Saturday, July 28, 2012. Game starts at 7:05 pm

How: *two free tickets will be given out for each bag of groceries donated at the game
The Las Vegas 51’s are “Pitching-In” with their first food drive to help local food pantries. The 51’s are offering two free tickets to the Saturday, July 28th baseball game in which the Las Vegas 51’s (the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) will take on the Salt Lake City Bee’s (the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim).

**two free tickets will be given out for each bag of groceries brought to the game and donated. Additionally, the first 2500 fans entering the park will receive a free Las Vegas 51’s travel mug.
The entire community is invited to participate in this worthwhile event. Opportunities to participate include: donate a bag of groceries out right or donate a bag of groceries in exchange for two baseball game tickets. You can pass out event literature or allow event literature to be posted and or handed out at your place of business.
~Much needed items include high protein foods such as canned meats, tuna, soups and peanut butter. Jelly, dry powdered milk, dried beans, raisins and prunes, pop top cans and non-breakable containers of fruits and vegetables are needed. In addition, macaroni and cheese, dried pastas and cans of tomato sauces can be used. There is a continuing need for baby formula and adult liquid nutritional supplements as well.
Items will be taken to local food banks on Saturday evening to benefit our community. Recipients will be needy persons in the Las Vegas Valley. The need is great, and food banks are striving to keep up with increasing demands throughout the year, we would appreciate your food donations/participation for this worthwhile cause.
