Who We Are

We are members of the Ecumenical Catholic Communion
The Ecumenical Catholic Communion (ECC) is a “communion of communities” which is both ecumenical (inclusive of all faiths) and Catholic in that we celebrate a faith that while Catholic
in character, welcomes all.

We are Catholics who practice INCLUSIVITY and work towards UNITY
As Scripture says: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal. 3:28)

Therefore, we are lay and ordained, women and men, who come together to break down the barriers that separate us from one another and hinder us from becoming ONE IN CHRIST.

We are an open and affirming community; we recognize and value the dignity of every person.

We ensure that ALL PEOPLE, regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, race, age, financial status, disability, ethnicity, and culture are welcomed and embraced as full members of the Catholic Church.

We recognize that Jesus is the host of the Eucharistic celebration and, therefore, ALL ARE WELCOME TO THE TABLE OF THE LORD.

We celebrate all sacraments. By virtue of our baptism, all who are called to the Sacrament of Holy Orders are encouraged and supported to respond to their call to ordained ministry, regardless of gender or marital status.

We profess our faith in Christ in the living Catholic Tradition
We are faithful to the living Catholic Tradition handed to us from the Apostles through many generations.

We profess in the Nicene Creed: “…believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church,” and
We profess in the Apostle’s Creed: “…believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints.”

We stand open to a dialogue with those of other religious identities and faith traditions.
