During the week of June 4, 2012, Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas will build a house from the ground up in just five days as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz 2012. This nationwide project seeks to build and renovate 250 homes simultaneously around the country during a week-long “blitz build.”
Habitat Las Vegas is partnering with the local construction and business community to build a home in the Vegas Heights neighborhood, on land donated by the City of Las Vegas. Subcontractors and volunteers will work around the clock throughout the week during the Blitz Build to complete construction and create awareness about the need for affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization in Las Vegas. The homeowner family will receive the keys to their new home in a Dedication Ceremony and Celebration on Friday, June 8 at 6PM at 910 Miller Ave, Las Vegas 89106.
