Here's a video of modern day Bethlehem. It's actually part of Palestine now and it's heavily armed with checkpoints and strict laws. Bethlehem is in the central West Bank and about 5 miles south of Jerusalem. About 30,000 people live there today. Relevant Magazine did an article about what Jesus would face if he was born into Bethlehem today. It's really interesting- check it out here.

This is a topic that comes up every year about this time, does Xmas remove Christ from Christmas?
In my opinion, no it doesn't.
In our world today it seems like we are fighting a losing battle to keep our faith in our everyday lives. Xmas, isn't something we need to be fighting against. After reading up on the topic and talking to others who have much more insight on this debate, this is what I found.
Two weeks ago, we were looking for guys who were thinking of proposing to their girlfriends. We had TONS of email with great stories for the SOS Radio Christmas Give! This Saturday Evan Faircloth proposed to his girlfriend Amy! SOS Radio, In12Days.net, Michael E. Minden Diamond Jewelers and Executive Limousine put together a WILD plan for his proposal.
Evan works as a custodian at South Hills Church in Henderson, Nevada. He's going to school at Lincoln Christian University to be a pastor.
I had an email from Kim who has been struggling with leaving a bad relationship and moving forward.
