THE AFTERS-WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR
Greeting’s from the kitchen!
By Chef Phillip L. Dell
Spring has arrived! Okay maybe for some of us anyway. When I think of spring I think of first of all getting everything ready for my first transformation prep of the year, or like most people, get that “beach body” I dream about every winter. Secondly I think of all the great foods that come into season. One in particular that comes to mind is strawberries! I remember while growing up, going into the fields and picking as many strawberries we could find, in hopes that we might be able to make a pie or fresh strawberry jam. The only problem was half the time by the time we got home; we had eaten most of them.
This week Vladimir Putin said he is "a defender of the Christian faith & he’s a defender of Christian values."
Bob from PluggedIn.com talks about the new Dreamworks animated film: Mr Peabody & Sherman. Remember them from the old Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons? They have their own movie now.
We also have movie reviews for films like Need For Speed, Son of God, Pompeii, RoboCop, Lego Movie on the front page of our site! We update these every Friday!
What is the epicurean effect? Let us first define epicurean--it means: ‘To befond of, or adapted to, luxury or indulgence in sensual pleasures; having luxurious tastes or habits, especially in eating and drinking.’
When you’re 18 years old and you’re the best in the world how do you continue to grow?
Back in 2002 Kelly Clark became the first American female to win an Olympic Gold Medal in snowboarding. That same year she won The X Games and every other event she was part of. She hit every one of her professional goals, but just 2 years after, she felt hopeless.
In the film, One Year, Kelly said: “I was writing (in my journal) about if I didn’t wake up tomorrow, I was fine with that,…. I didn’t think anybody would care if I didn’t wake up tomorrow. I was writing if this was what life was, then I was done with life.”
If it hasn't happened to you already, it will. Some prominent Christian will be all over the news for saying something that, in your mind, is not even close to how you imagine God feels about whatever the topic is.
Happens to me all the time. I used to take great pains to distance myself from these people. To make sure my non-believing family and friends knew I wasn't "that kind of 'Christian'."
Toby Mac talks about family!
He talks about the morning routine at his home, he shares all about his wife and how the Hits Deep Tour is very different than many concerts you've been a part of.

A guy called into my show asking about depression. He was wanting to know if it's ok to use anti-depressants as a Christian. He also asked for others to call who have successfully weaned off anti-depressants over time. This was a powerful discussion that is worth sharing! -Scott@SosRadio.net
