I was listening to the latest song from Sidewalk Prophets: Help Me Find It. These words are so powerful about God's will for our life!
I feel SO out of style when I see all the clothes at the mall. I'm still in skinny jeans denial! Back to school shopping always does this to me. It's like 5 stages of grief!
1. Denial – The clothing stores are just selling ugly stuff this year. They are out of touch!
2. Anger – I am NOT paying $65 for a ratty t shirt with some designer logo on it. These girl shirts just keep getting tighter and tighter and shorter & shorter…. no one can fit into this!
3. Bargaining – OK.... I've been to 27 stores.....MAYBE I'll let my kid wear that outfit IF I can change it up a little bit and make it a little more modest….
Shakespeare said, “"How far that little candle throws his beams. So shines a good deed in a weary world."
When we shine God’s light at work today, we can share a little hope with our co workers and help brighten our company culture!
A tiny candle can break up the eclipsing darkness. A city on a hill can be seen from miles away. A simple light bulb can illuminate an entire room. If you feel like your work setting is a dark place, be a simple light. Be a simple influence. Showcase God's love by the way you live. If you don't have enought light yourself, reflect God's light.

Once a month or so, I'll sneak out and grab Five Guys. It's one of my too many fast food indulgences. And I KNOW better, but "the flesh is weak" sometimes.
So last week, I'm jumping back into my ride after swinging by Five Guys. And I heard some news report about making healthy eating choices.
For a moment, I felt guilty about my lunch. Then my head cooked up images of people in my life who take GREAT care of themselves. They eat right. They work out. Frequently. They make it known. Frequently. All I know about these people centers on their appearance, because that's all they seem to focus on. It comes off as one-dimensional and uninteresting to me.
