The American Red Cross encourages blood donors to help prevent a summer shortage by rolling up a sleeve to give. Donors of all blood types are urged to schedule an appointment now, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative.

Type O negative is universal and can likely be transfused to anyone who needs blood. Types A negative and B negative can be transfused to patients with either Rh positive or negative blood. These blood types are the most in demand and the first to run out if there is a shortage.

On August 29-30, 2014, Life Baptist Church will host a men's conference, entitled "Triple Play... The Trilogy of Men's Struggles: Money, Sex & Pride." Our conference speaker is Pastor Johnny Hunt, Senior Pastor of FBC Woodstock and former president of the Southern Baptist Convention.

The two-day event will be held at Life Community Center, located on the SW side of town at 6316 S Tenaya Way in Las Vegas, NV 89113.

This will be an inspirational, informative, and instructional time as Dr Hunt will passionately challenge and lovingly teach on this subject.

The cost for the conference is $50, which includes workbook and meals. Space is limited, and registrations must be made online at www.lifebaptistchurch.com.
