United Way of Southern Nevada and the City of Las Vegas are giving southern Nevada residents an opportunity to leave their mark on Downtown by volunteering to revitalize Downtown city blocks. Volunteers who sign up will have an opportunity to beautify and freshen up Downtown.
United Way of Southern Nevada will lead two downtown revitalizations annually and develop a comprehensive volunteer program to promote visitors and locals to the downtown area. The June 8 revitalization will begin at 8:30 a.m. with inspiring remarks from City of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman, United Way President and CEO Cass Palmer and Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Coffin at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

ELEVATE 2: Annual Singles Retreat 2013 on August 16, 17, & 18 will be held at the Big Bear Lake Christian Conference Center, located on the south shore of Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains, CA. This retreat is a great opportunity for Single Adults in the valley to get out of the summer heat, and to refresh their spiritual life before the start of the Fall season.
There will be great worship led by Vance & Michelle Shepherd, awesome small group time, and inspirational teaching from Jeff Long, Singles Pastor at The Crossing, A Christian Church.

All proceeds go to Reach Peru mission team is raising funds for their trip. The team will be hosting a summer camp experience for hundreds of children from the barrios in Trujillo, Peru. They will be funding their camp experience, arts and crafts as well. For many of the children from the barrios, this will be the first time they experience a shower or have their own bed to sleep in and eat three meals a day. The team will provide games, ministry and worship to these children throughout their entire camp experience.
At Kingdom Rock, kids learn how to Stand Strong for God! Join us for food, music, fun games and new friends! Advent UMC's VBS program is open to preschool ages through adults, and is free.

East Valley Bible Church will be hosting a free Vacation Bible School at Stewart Place Park (4702 Chantilly Ave Las Vegas, NV 89110) from May 30th-June 1st.
It will be an hour of Bible lessons, games, crafts, snacks and fun starting at 3:45pm on Thursday, May 30th and Friday, May 31st and starting at 11:30am with a free barbecue to follow on Saturday the first.
Any kids from ages 3-12 are welcome!
