Local Theater Group Schedules Musical!

Desert Spring Theatre Arts will continue its second season by presenting the Tony Award-winning musical “Bye, Bye Birdie.” Performances will take place at Desert Spring United Methodist Church, located at 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive (across from Palo Verde High School).
Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 8 at 7pm, and Saturday March 9 at 3pm & 7pm. The schedule will be repeated on March 15 & 16. Tickets are $7.50 for all seats. For further information or to purchase tickets, please call 702-290-1173.

Over 30 craft vendors, Rummage sale, Food trucks/ vendors, face painting, caricature artist, balloon sculptures, and a magic show!
This is an all ages event, there is no admission fee, the school hosting the event is asking for reams of paper as a donation, but not necessary. We have lots of entertainment planned through the day from local dance studios, a Tae Kwon Do demo, and will wrap it up with a 45min magic/ comedy show @ 1pm.
This is a great family friendly event, stuff for everyone!

Healing a broken heart is never easy, but when that heart belongs to a child or teen who has lost one of the most important people in his or her young life – a parent or sibling – the recovery can be even more complicated.

Camp Solari, a weekend-long bereavement camp sponsored by Solari Hospice Foundation, provides children ages 6-17 and their surviving caregivers with an opportunity to learn healthy coping strategies while still honoring the memory of their loved ones. The next Camp Solari will be held from May 3-5, 2013, at Mt. Charleston Lodge, located at the end of Highway 157 and about a 35-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip. Applications for Camp Solari are accepted year ‘round, but must be completed by March 11, 2013, to be considered for the Spring 2013 camp.
