Jon Ponder from Hope For Prisoners was on our show talking about the need for mentors in our area! Men & Women are coming out of prision every year, and they need a place to plug in with society. Hope for Prisoners is helping, but they need more mentors. If you'd like more info, click HopeForPrisoners.org
You can read Jon Ponder's powerful story here! SOS Radio actually played a role in his faith journey when he was serving time years ago. (It was the only radio station that came in through the prison walls on his old walkman radio!) God transformed Jon's life and is using him to lead one of the nation's most effective re-entry programs now!

We all have challenges in life. For some, there are health challenges, and for other people there are relationship challenges,or career or financial challenges. Some have a little or a lot of everything.
I think one of our biggest problems is that most of us haven't the faintest idea of what it is we want to let go. We know what is not working and we know what we want in our life, yet we don't know what's holding us back.
SO LET'S TAKE TIME TO LOOK AT THE BLOCKS THAT BIND US.

Shirley grew up the child of a single mother who supported her young family with simple bead work earrings and other jewelry. Thus, Shirley learned her craft at a very young age, and is now a gifted artist who is passing the tradition of fine bead work, and the craft of Heishi and Cedar Berry necklaces and bracelets, down to her own grandchildren. She will appear with her daughter-in-law, Charmayne Nelson, who specializes in beaded bracelets. Both ladies will demonstrate how they make the beaded jewelry and Shirley will demonstrate how dream catchers are made with a small loom and hide.
