marriage

My husband and I are trying to restore our marriage...long story but after bankrupting millions of dollars alcohol and abuse became the mainstay. I finally left a year and a half ago and he won't sign divorce papers. He completed a violence and anger course and has found employment. I have agreed to 6 months of couples counselling to see what we can do but need prayer...I am sure that the Lord wants us to be married but trust through all of this is scaring me
