Unbeliever to find our Lord, Jesus

Help me to bear the pain of losing a boyfriend for more than 9 years that have moved to Texas for lack of job here in Calif & NV. He is a Moslem but hasn't started to pray 5x a day so I was working on his faith to turn to Jesus. We have been very good together and he is different from all other Moslem guys I know. Can this be God's work that we need to separate because of different yoke? I need more strenght,wisdom and prayer from you my brethren so I may better understand everything that is going on in my life.
