Local Easter Break Ideas For The Family

Here's a few examples from my city you can tweak toward your own city.

Take the kids on a hike. Red Rock Canyon, Gold Strike Canyon, Valley of Fire, Zion National Park etc.

Take the kids on a picnic.

Find an indoor Run Plus Fun or Bounce U (Indoor jumpers & slides for the kids)

Dye eggs with Kool Aid packets. Here's the recipe.

Fremont Street Flightlinez Zip Line or Bootleg Canyon Flightlines Zipline

Local Easter egg hunts & church events.

Kids cooking classes at the local rec center

Paint pottery & ceramics at places like Color Me Mine or All Fired Up.

Make a family bonfire. Get a fire pit and make smores

Watch the free underswater fish feeding show at The Silverton in Vegas

Glow bath time (for the little kids - buy a bunch of glow sticks and put them in the bathtub with the lights off and lots of bubbles)

Free auto museum at St Jude's Children't Ranch

Build a fort (get out sheets & chairs and boxes and build a fort for each of your kids)

Library story time - many libraries have story time at different points of the day. Check their website!

Nacho bar or Pizza bar. Get a bunch of cheese, veggies, chips and toppings and let your kids make their own crazy nachos or crazy pizza.

Good Friday Banquet. Make up a menu. Put your kids favorite foods on the menu, plus a few other options. Do an appetizer, entree, dessert & drink. Let them check which item them want to eat for each course and then you prepare it. Then sit down and make it almost like an old skool seder dinner or like the last supper - but kid's style. Then you can share the story of Jesus and the Cross.

Ice cream Sunday! Make your own! Lots of crazy toppings.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory tour. It's free

Pinball Hall of Fame. Come play some old skool pinball machines

Look for crafts or baking projects on Pinterest to do with the kids. Look for something that will help you  explain the significance of The Resurrection.

New Discovery Children’s Museum down by the Smith center we want to go check out. There’s also  the Las Vegas Natural History museum,

Shelby Museum at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It's free.

Springs Preserve in Las Vegas has trails and exhibits for the kids. Their Eggstravaganza is Saturday 3/30 too.

Take the kids to the Wranglers hockey game this week

Swimming at a local rec center

Hit golf balls at the driving range

Go buy a bunch of candy and frosting & sprinkles and decorate easter cookies
