You Can Profit From Your Trials

“So, we look at Calvary and we don’t sing a song of dirge – we sing a song of triumph and celebration, of hope and salvation. Satan’s players have not been able to drown out salvation’s song. The songs of hope by the company of the redeemed will never end. They grow in volume, celebration, and glory. The Cross is the subject of those songs, and it’s life-giving mercy is the chorus.” -Paul David Tripp

In the New Testament of the Bible, James challenges us, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

James doesn’t say "IF you face trials," but "WHENEVER you face them." He assumes that we WILL have trials and that it is possible to profit from them!

The point is not to pretend to be happy when we face pain, but to have a positive outlook on life, because of what trials CAN produce in our lives. James tells us to look deeper into our hardship, as an opportunity for learning. Tough times can teach us perseverance. -Ceci@SosRadio.net
