There are mundane things in life, like chores, that we secretly actually really like doing. Listeners call and text to share the odd, daily tasks they actually love.
You know what’s wild? Some of us actually enjoy chores. Like my son loves sweeping, he thinks he’s in the Olympics with a broom... and Miss Mila? She gets pumped about organizing the pantry like she’s Marie Kondo. Apparently, my kids are professional weirdos. So it got me thinking… what’s that one chore you secretly love that everyone else avoids like the plague?
Chores remind us of something bigger. They’re repetitive, they’re ordinary, and sometimes they feel thankless. But faith teaches us that the ordinary can still be sacred. Colossians says, ‘Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.’ Even sweeping floors or organizing pantries can be acts of worship if they’re done with love. So maybe the chore you secretly enjoy is actually God’s way of showing you... joy hides even in the mundane.
