Grace changes EVERYTHING. Karma is different than what Jesus taught about reaping what you sow! Karma is a point system that doesn't allow for grace or intervention from God. Frankly, the idea of karma is not Biblical.
The Apostle Paul said, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (NIV)
Karma is the belief in a cycle that keeps churning based on good deeds and bad deeds. Karma leaves no room for grace, because it leaves no room for God's intervention and redemption in your life. What Jesus taught was not at all like Karma, because he stepped in and took the consequence for your sin!
In Psalm 111 King David said: "God has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness. He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever- holy and awesome is his name."
Jesus challenged us to put our full trust in God, instead of in human systems. Our creator is all powerful and he radically loves you.
Grace changes everything because Jesus took your place!
