National Night Out event is fast approaching. It’s sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and is promoted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department

What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is celebrated annually in communities all across the United States. Citizens in 15,000 communities and all 50 states, with over 37 million people are expected to participate this year. National Night Out is designed to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts
Strengthen police and community relationships
Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and working together to prevent crime.
How can I Participate?
Downtown Area Command will hold their National Night Out on Fremont Street between 7th & 9th Street from 5:00PM – 7:30PM.
Organizations and companies are invited to attend and provide helpful information and services to the community.
Apart from giveaways, you can bring a small, but fun, activity to provide even more entertainment for attendees. Examples include an art and craft activity, a small game or bringing along a costumed character.
