Miracles are simply things that don't follow the repeatable pattern of the scientific method.
I love science. I love philosophy. I love the complex nature of love that comes through a personal relationship with God. Science seeks to find measurable patters that we can follow and replicate.
Doesn't it excite you that God is bigger and more powerful than patterns? Doesn't it excite you that God had the intelligence and foresight to plan out the universe himself? Doesn't it excite you that our holy God is bigger, stronger and so pure that he's outside the scope of our fallen world? Plus He STILL chooses to intervene inside it, to personally rescue us.
"Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it." -Isaiah 42:5 NIV
"There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory." - Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:41 NIV
This is what the LORD says, "He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD Almighty is his name.” - Jeremiah 31:35 NRSV
